About Us

A RHIB Renaissance

OCEAN 1 is the creation of veteran superyacht Captain Dean Maggio. With nearly 30 years of sailing and yachting experience, Dean identified a significant gap in the yacht tender market. While many top RHIB models in yachting had admirable qualities, none fully met the diverse needs of a luxury yacht program.

Frustrated by this gap, Dean set out to design his ideal yacht tender. He established a new facility in north Sarasota, assembled a skilled team of craftsmen, and began producing OCEAN 1 boats. Over time, OCEAN 1 expanded its offerings to include custom bay boats and law enforcement patrol boats. Today, OCEAN 1 yacht tenders are found worldwide, and the company’s patrol boats are the top choice for the Sarasota Police Department.
